I see change in the lives of our DREAAMers each and every day- sometimes it's as simple as a new haircut or backpack. Other times it is improvement in socioemotional skills, increased leadership, improved math fluency and literacy, self-respect or respect for others. Their ability to uplift and empower one another is truly heartwarming! The transition from being a stranger to becoming a positive role model in their lives is amazing.

I have been a part of the DREAAM team for five years now and have seen firsthand the significant impact that DREAAM has had in the Champaign County area. It is an honor to be a part of this positive change! As a DREAAM staff member and a long-time DREAAM parent, I can attest to how much the organization has empowered and enriched my children. All four of my kids have benefited from various DREAAM services. I have seen my children grow socially, academically, and professionally with the support of DREAAM.

I love the fact that our afterschool programs bring together kids from different backgrounds, cultures and experiences. Seeing the kids use the social emotional skills we have aimed to develop to increase positive social engagement, build self-esteem, and confidence to create the space for DREAAMers to enhance their academic growth is rewarding. We see DREAAMers come from being followers to positive leaders!
