Believers

Believers are middle schoolers, for the most part. They’re between 10–13, and they’re starting to get a sense of who they are and who they want to be. The staff and volunteers who work with the Believers focus on making a personal connection and teaching self-determination, along with:

 

• Ongoing social-emotional learning support

• Volunteer opportunities

• Violence prevention and conflict resolution skills

• Career identity and readiness

• We have about 50 DREAAMers enrolled at the middle school level.

• They’re encouraged by about six staff members at every meeting.

• Eight members traveled to Washington, D.C. this year.
