What Inspired Us

"As people of faith, Mary Ann and I take seriously the parable of the talents —that having been blessed with the gifts of time, talents, and treasures — we are to use those gifts in the service of the Master.  We not only support DREAAM but have placed a legacy gift for DREAAM in our will because of DREAAM's mission, vision, growth, and impact.  A recent report describes DREAAM's dynamic growth:

In 2015, DREAAM ended its very first summer program with ten boys. Nine years later, we are ending our first international program in Africa and returning home to programs reaching over 500 people in 2024."

Our Story

What would we like to see our gifts accomplish through DREAAM?

"Mary Ann and I grew up in educated families who provided us with books, broad experiences, a strong spiritual foundation, and mentorship.  It was given that we would attend college.  Our prayer is that DREAAM instills within its participants both a vision for what they can be and do, and the confidence to take the steps to achieve that vision. DREAAM is transforming lives and, in so doing, blessing our entire community."

What advice do we have for others related to planned giving?

"Just do it!  Pick organizations and ministries with a proven track record that impact human needs, and exemplify Micah 6:8, that we "do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with our God." It has often been said that giving addresses inequalities that otherwise will go unaddressed.  Mary Ann and I draw great joy in knowing that through our gift, our lives will continue to impact beyond our physical lives."
